Welcome from Shawn DeVeau, Dean of Students
At Merrimack College, life is about more than coursework. It’s about engaging with the community, getting involved in activities, balancing work with other interests, and discovering you are among like-minded people. It’s about friendship and fun, partnerships and politics, and learning through living.
The College’s Division of Student Life is here to help you round out your days while you are attending Merrimack. From dance, theater, and community service opportunities to academic clubs and student government, the ways to get involved are varied and plentiful. We will even help you start something entirely new, if you find your interests are not represented.
These vibrant clubs and activities provide students with more than social gatherings. They also serve as venues for leadership development, problem solving, and personal connection. They complete the Merrimack experience.
As your guides and advisors, we are happy to talk with you any time, about any issue. We understand that the community as a whole grows and develops through the actions and interactions of its many members. Ours is a dynamic environment—and we look forward to seeing how you will contribute to it.
