The medical staff has many years of experience working with students living in college housing. They provide competent onsite acute medical care for resident students and emergency services for everyone. By maintaining relationships with specialists, physicians, local hospitals, and an urgent care cener, the Hamel staff can make timely, appropriate referrals when necessary. The Medical staff also monitors cases which require hospitalization or specialized treatment.
Medical services provided by the Hamel Health Center include but are not limited to:

• Acute medical care (assessment, treatment, referral)
• Prescription medicine coordination
• Laboratory tests (blood work, pregnancy screens, etc.)
• Sports physicals
• Health/illness education and consultation
• Blood pressure screening
• Coordination of off-campus medical and dental services
• Weigh-ins
• Information on STDs, common health problems, wellness
