Transfer Students
Merrimack College welcomes transfer students in the spring and fall semesters.
To apply as a transfer student, simply:
- Apply
- Submit
- Official Transcript(s) from each College/University attended
- Course Catalog/Course Descriptions from each College/University attended (in order to determine transfer credit)
- A current Letter of Recommendation
- Your college essay (A thoughtful statement which explains why you believe Merrimack College is a desirable choice for you now.)
- AP/IB/CLEP - "Official" score reports (required in order to determine transfer credit). Merrimack College school code number is 3525
- $50 application fee
Please note:
- US Permanent Residents are required to submit a photocopy (both sides) of Alien Registration card
- High School transcripts are required if less than one year (less than 30 semester hours of credit) of college coursework has been completed.

Dates and Deadlines
Transfer students should submit applications for admission by:
- August 31, 2010 for the fall term
- December 1, 2010 for the spring term
Transfer applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Candidates are notified as application files are completed. Notification for spring term admission begins in November, and for fall term admission in March.
International Students
To complete an international application , the following items are also required:
- Completed certificate of Finances or Notarized Bank Statement which certifies amount of funds on deposit/available for education in the U.S. for one year of study.
- Test of English proficiency for applicant for whom English is not his/her native language. TOEFL or IELTS official score report required.

Please note that all documents must be translated into English where applicable.

Merrimack College has articulation agreements with several Massachusetts Community Colleges. Please email Peter-Greg Sison or call the Office of Admission at 978-837-5100 for more information.
