Certificate in Purchasing Management

The Certificate in Purchasing Management consists of two(2) courses. Each course covers two (2) Modules of the ISM-C.P.M.™ certification requirements. Each module provides participants with the understanding and knowledge of purchasing techniques, and prepares them for the Institute for Supply Management™ (ISM)- C.P.M.™- Certified Purchasing Manager- national examination.

Course Curriculum

PM 101 - Modules I & II

Topics include procurement requests, solicitation of proposals and their evaluation, contract execution, implementation, personnel and controls of the purchasing department. This class includes a discussion on exam questions and strategies.

This course covers Modules I & II of the C.P.M.™ program.

PM 102 - Modules III & IV

Topics include establishing and organized purchasing function, forecasting, optimizing purchasing performance, supplier and departmental relationships, economics of purchasing, electronic data interchange, purchasing and quality control, and strategic purchasing planning. This class includes a discussion on exam questions and strategies.

This course covers Modules III & IV of the C.P.M.™ program.

Merrimack College may limit enrollment or cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment.

 

Tuition and Refund Policy

Tuition for each course is $625.00.
Course material used for both courses: $235.00

Payment for courses and course material must be received in full prior to the first class meeting.

There is a one-time matriculation fee of $35 due upon registration for your first class here at Merrimack College.

Refund Policy:

Students are entitled to a refund of tuition according to the following schedule:

  • Prior to the first class meeting 100%
  • After the first class meeting 0%

Notice of withdrawal must be in writing.
