A letter from the CIO Welcome to Information Technology Services (ITS) at Merrimack College. We provide support for all members of the college community – including students, faculty, and staff. A wide range of services are available both behind the scenes and as direct user assistance. In support of the college’s new strategic goals for academic excellence, we are also working with the faculty and administration to define and implement a vision of a modern, technology enabled campus. This encompasses significant investments in a number of projects such as wireless networking, expansion of technology-enhanced classrooms, software for learning and instruction, and laptop PC programs for students. As a result, students should experience a richer and more convenient environment to pursue their studies. The various pages and links in the Information Technology Services section of Merrimack’s MyMack portal web site (under the “Resources” tab) provide greater detail about our technology support, as well as a great deal of collateral information that should be helpful in using the related technology. Topics include required security for all student machines ( “STARTsafe/R.U.N.safe”), network details, the student laptop program, PC labs, and user accounts. Please contact the Help Desk at extension 5-ITC (978.837.5482) with any IT related question. I can also be reached at the email address below for any policy or explanatory questions you may have. Charles MaxsonCIOInformation Technology ServicesCharles.Maxson@merrimack.edu
