Computer User accounts

All students (day or evening) who are enrolled in at least ONE course are automatically given a computer user account. This account is yours for as long as you are enrolled at Merrimack College. This account gives you access to the college's network, including email, blackboard and the new myMACK system.

OWA (Outlook Web Access) allows you to log on to your Merrimack College email account from anywhere in the world.

Internet Access in the Dorms

All dorms, townhouses and apartments are wired to allow Internet access at no additional cost to the student. Each room has one data jack per student available for computer network access. Unauthorized extensions to the campus network via hubs, switches, routers, wireless access points are prohibited. Computers must be equipped with a 10/100 Base Ethernet Network card (NIC) and an Ethernet cable.

Student Computer Labs

Merrimack's computer labs are available to any Merrimack College student. The computers in these labs contain the same basic software. ITC supports Microsoft Office 2007.

ITC Lab 2nd Floor McQuade Library

There are exceptions (holidays, semester breaks, etc.) to the following hours of operation. Professional staff & student assistants available during operating hours:

M - Th 7:30am - midnight
Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm
Sat 10:00am - 5:00pm
Sun 11:00am - midnight

45 Windows computers
3 Laser printers
1 Scanner
1 Color Laser printer

There are several data jacks available for laptop connection in this lab.

Other Computer Labs

Many departments have course specific labs that are available for their students to use. Business Division, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Liberal Arts are just a few departments that have labs. 

Wireless

Wireless is available in the McQuade Library, Academic buildings and Sakowich Campus Center. Check with User Services on the 2nd floor of the library for wireless setup.
