Two-Week Contemplative Spirituality Course

The Graduate Institute for Teachers at Merrimack College is offering a unique two-week program exploring physical and emotional contemplation.

Contemplation Education: Intergenerational Practice is for anyone interested in their own spiritual journey, and for those working with ‘students’ of all ages who could benefit from contemplation. This is a course of practice in the physical and emotional discipline of contemplation present in all the great religions; it’s also a generational study and conversation about practice for children, teens, and adults. The method of practice is a variation on Zen Mindfulness meditation. All participants purchase a Japanese meditation pillow and sit approximating Japanese Zen zazen, (seated meditation). Orthopedic considerations are taken into account.
