Merrimack Ranked in Major Publications

North Andover, MA (August 26, 2008) -- U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review, and Forbes.com recently recognized Merrimack College as a notable college.

U.S. News & World Report recognized Merrimack College among the nation’s top 186 liberal arts colleges in the 2009 America’s Best Colleges Guide. The colleges included on this list emphasize undergraduate education and award at least half of their degrees in the arts and sciences. US News & World Report has consistently ranked Merrimack highly among peer institutions for more than ten years.

The Princeton Review included Merrimack as one of 630 institutions featured on the Best Colleges: Region by Region section of PrincetonReview.com, and one of 212 receiving the Best in the Northeast designation, featured in the Best Northeastern Colleges: 2009 Edition book.

According to a new ranking by Forbes.com, Merrimack was listed as a top college in the nation in America’s Best Colleges 2008. This is the first annual college ranking for Forbes which was completed in collaboration with the Center for College Affordability and Productivity (CCAP). The list was based on “the quality of the education they provide, and how much their students achieve.”
