Leadership Think Tanks Explore Issues in Education

The Graduate Institute for Education at Merrimack College is offering Leadership Think Tanks, which will explore best practices and key issues in a variety of education-related fields. 

Leadership Think Tanks are professional learning communities focused on educational innovation and problem solving. They bring together individuals within and across districts in similar positions to read thoughtfully, hear expert speakers, share best practices, and develop a collegial and collaborative working space within which to explore and delve into emerging trends, critical issues, and key developments.
 
After a successful launch of the spring/summer 2010 Leadership Think Tanks, the Graduate Institute for Education expanded the Think Tanks for the 2010-11 academic year to include the following: 

  • Assistant Principals & House Deans
    (Oct 7, Nov 4, Jan 6, Feb 3, March 3, April 14, May 5)
  • Guidance Directors
    (Oct 8, Nov 5, Jan 7, Feb 3, March 4, April 29, May 13)
  • Reading & Literacy Directors
    (Oct 14, Nov 10, Jan 13, Feb 11, March 10, April 7, May 12)
  • ESL Directors
    (Oct 15, Nov 12, Jan 14, Feb 11, March 11, April 8, May 6)
  • Mathematics Directors
    (Oct 22, Nov 19, Jan 21, Feb 18, March 18, April 15, May 20)

Cost: $200 for the academic year (Fee includes: lunch & supplies) 25 PDPs Awarded. On-line registration and payment now available.
