Computer Science Scholarship Contest

High school seniors interested in computer science have the chance to win a $60,000 scholarship ($15,000 per year, four years) to study at Merrimack College.

WHAT: First Annual Computer Science Scholarship Competition -- an academic competition hosted by Merrimack College's Computer Science Department in which high school seniors are tested on their quantitative, analytical and problem solving and logic skills.

Students will:

  • compete for a $15,000 scholarship to study computer science at Merrimack ($60K over four years);
  • learn more about Merrimack's computer science and information technology programs;
  • meet current computer science students and faculty members, and tour the facilities;

WHEN: Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Mendel Hall, Merrimack College (315 Turnpike St., North Andover, MA 01845)

ELIGIBILITY: Entrants must be enrolled in the 12th grade; be qualified for acceptance to Merrimack; and have the ability to maintain a minimum 2.8 GPA while at Merrimack to retain the yearly scholarship.

REGISTRATION: The deadline to register is Monday, January 15, 2010. The contest is open to all high school seniors. There is no registration fee required, and entrants don’t need to prepare for the exam. Visit www.merrimack.edu/cs for information and registration forms.
