Collegiate Chapter of American Marketing Association Wins National Award

North Andover, MA (April 18, 2008) – The Merrimack College Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) recently won a national “Outstanding Communications” award at the American Marketing Association 30th Annual Collegiate Awards in New Orleans, LA.

The "Outstanding Communications” award is presented to “…chapters that effectively communicated to their members, officers, college/university community, and other audiences throughout the academic year.” Chapters receiving this award implemented promotional programs, provided an evaluation of their efforts and success, and realized notable participation and chapter involvement.

More than 1300 students from across North America attended the 30th Annual Conference, with over 120 Collegiate Chapters participating in the awards competition. The Collegiate Chapters Division of the AMA is represented by approximately 10,000 collegiate members, through 250 active AMA Collegiate Chapters. The annual awards program recognizes AMA collegiate chapters excelling in professional marketing service to their members, their colleges/universities, and their marketing community.
